Serenity Sheep Farm Stay

Day Camp

After a successful first summer for "Felt it on the Farm", I am looking forward to the summer of 2011.

Although this camp is designed for kids, adults are welcome too.  If you'd like an afternoon tailored just for you and a friend, for example,  please email me.  I can teach you wet felting, needle felting or both.

Camp is geared for ages 8 and up.  Under 8 must be accompanied by an adult.   $60/day.   Half day camps are also available.  Mornings are geared more toward the animals, afternoons are full of felting.

Ask about family discounts for multiples!

Our day camp for kids is held on Fridays throughout the summer from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm.  This is a one-day camp.  Camp size is limited to 6 kids per day for more individual attention.   Fridays in September and October are available for home-schoolers and public school vacation days, if applicable.  Weather permitting.  Just contact me.

2011 Dates:

June 10  June 17  June 24

July 8   July 15  July 22  July 29

August 5  August 12  August 19

Snacks included.  Please bring your own sack lunch and water bottle.  Sturdy shoes are a must.  We will be playing in the dirt.

Our day will be loosely structured and will involve many things going on here including, feeding chicks & chickens, gathering their eggs, milking goats, shoveling manure and adding it to the compost heap, a tour of the garden and helping in it, an afternoon full of creative time involving wool from the sheep and if possible, a bit of quiet time to drink it all in.
Each day brings new surprises here to unearth and discover.

Day campers can stay in the sheepherder's wagon any time,  at a special rate, accompanied by an adult, of course.  Email for details before booking your stay.

Call or email for availability and a brochure or if you'd like to sponsor a child at the camp.

A couple of campers and I were visited by the local newspapwer.  Click here to read the story that was printed in the Aug. 8, 2010 Bozeman Daily Chronicle.

Happy Campers

Quotes from the kids:

"I want a farm when I grow up."  "I could live here!"  "Does your son know how lucky he is to live on a farm?"  "We love Buckwheat!"  "I hope we can have a farm like yours some day."   "I want to come back next week."  "Do we have to leave?"
